"Budget Hotel" Application and Consumer Acceptance in Indonesia

DailySocial and JakPat surveys on people's tendency to choose "budget hotel"

budget hotel is a new trend in the industry travel, offers lodging services according to consumer needs. Characteristics of users can choose the type of service needed during their stay –if general hotel services automatically serve full-services—thus tend to provide more savings on the consumer side.

Following digital trends, budget hotels also offered by OTA (Online Travel Agency), there are even some specific players who are present in Indonesia, namely Airy Rooms, NIDA Rooms, RedDoorz, to ZEN Rooms.

To find out the popularity and views of consumers in Indonesia towards budget hotels, DailySocial in collaboration with JakPat conducted a survey to users smartphone in Indonesia to find out their interest in the service. There were at least 1005 respondents who took part in the survey.

Our thesis begins by knowing the tendency of users when they want to rent a place to stay, as many as 65.77% have used an application or web aggregation service, 41% went directly to hotels to rent, 18,81% by telephone, and 17,31% through travel agents (offline).

The tendency of people to use the service budget hotels
