Boost Indonesia Develops Gamification Through BoostPlay and Provides Mobile Wallet

Still prioritizing increasing the number of merchants and suppliers who mostly target the FMCG sector, in 2019 Boost Indonesia has begun to focus on acquiring users from the millennial circle.

To DailySocial, Brand & Communication Manager Indonesian Boost Deri Jindhar said that currently most merchants are owners of traditional stalls and street vendors in Greater Jakarta, Bandung, Solo and Yogyakarta. To ensure the acquisition process runs smoothly, Boost Indonesia has the personnel freelancer whose function is similar to that of an agent.

QR Code in mobile wallets, gamification on BoostPlay

In its home country of Malaysia, Boost already has 5500 merchants and around 80 thousand users who enjoy the Boost application every day. One of the digital services that Boost has launched is mobile wallet. With QR Code technology, users can make payments at merchants that work with Boost Indonesia, called BoostSpot.

apart mobile wallet, Boost Indonesia also provides gamification with rewards ranging from motorcycles to gadgets. With BoostPlay, Boost hopes to attract more users to enjoy their lifestyle apps.

"We also have an application for users that is loaded with rewarded gamification as well as relevant lifestyle information and recommendations," said Deri.

Users can collect loyalty rewards, send and receive e-vouchers, transfer and receive money, all through the BoostPlay app. To simplify the process, Boost Indonesia partners with BNI and embeds BNI's server-based electronic money product, UniqueQu, into the application.

"Currently, BNI is only collaborating with banks. In the future, we also have plans to add more collaborations with banks in Indonesia," said Deri.

In addition to BNI, Boost Indonesia has also collaborated with Medi-call. Through the Boost application, users can enjoy Medi-call services directly. In the future, Boost Indonesia will also add other interesting features in user applications such as Boost Donation, Boost Debar (games), and many more.

"In accordance with Boost Indonesia's target, in 2019 we focus on increasing the number of users and introducing Gamification with attractive gifts and services for users," said Deri.
