BNI and DIMO Collaboration Presents the UniqueQu E-Wallet Application

Server-based electronic money application that utilizes Pay By QR technology

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) and PT Dimo ​​Pay Indonesia (DIMO) recently carried out soft launch new digital product BNI UniqueQu. The product is an application e-wallet server-based that can be accessed through the platform mobile devices. The concept is similar to what is offered by my pocket. This system is designed using technology Pay by QR to process payment transactions, both online and offline.

Seeing this stretch, it becomes increasingly clear that innovation in the field of fintech will continue get fans which is large in line with the variety of services and acceptance from the service/product provider side. Other factors from the user side also encourage its implementation, starting from the non-cash lifestyle which is starting to become a trend among people Millennial, security guarantees, and the distribution of integrated applications as recipients of digital transactions. Banking need concocting strategy earlier, to synergize with the disruptor in the fintech sector.

"UniqueQu users will be facilitated because they do not need to be a bank customer. The UniqueQu application can be used by anyone who has the smartphone, with an easy registration process. Transactions are also faster because payments can only be made by scan QR Code written on the cashier," said BNI's Senior Executive Vice President of Information Technology Dadang Setiabudi.

Currently there are at least 2000 networks merchant who accept payments through the DIMO system. To provide better security, UniqueQu users are required to authenticate with a 6-digit PIN before scanning for transactions. The collaboration with BNI also provides a balance replenishment system through the BNI banking system, including through SMS Banking.

The UniqueQu collaboration is a manifestation of one of the shared missions between BNI and DIMO in creating a non-cash payment ecosystem that is open to all levels of society and also our support to the government in realizing cashless society in Indonesia," said PT Dimo ​​Pay Indonesia CEO Brata Rafly.

Previously, another bank, namely Mandiri, was also seriously intensifying similar services through Mandiri e-Cash. To make it more friendly, recently it formed a partnership with LINE, presenting LINE Pay e-Cash, a system e-money which can be used to transact online at seller partners.

As a step forward, BNI will continue to cooperate with the network merchant and collaborate with development companies fintech to expand the alternative of filling out the balance and transactions of UnikQu.
