Jakarta Great Online Sale 2017 Held Again, Carrying Mission to Strengthen MSME Product Penetration

Followed by 150 e-commerce and online marketplace players in Indonesia

Jakarta Great Online Sale (JGOS) 2017 will soon be held, attended by 150 companies E-commerce and online marketplace in Indonesia. The series of events itself starts from June 15 to 22, 2017. Various interesting promos will be presented simultaneously to offer various products sold on online channels.

JGOS is online shopping festival annual gathering of actors E-commerce and marketplace in Indonesia, especially those based in Jakarta, to support the Jakarta Great Sale Festival (FGJS) program as part of a series of celebrations for the anniversary of DKI Jakarta through the promotion of shopping tourism and online-based services.

JGOS was first held in 2013, initiated by two players E-commerce Berry Benka and Orami. Initially, JGOS was held to advance the digital industry in the field of online commerce. Also to support the growth of the digital economy which is predicted to be the spearhead of Indonesia's economic progress.

"Through this JGOS activity, it is hoped that it can build public trust regarding online shopping. On the same occasion, we want to promote MSMEs so that their products can be marketed through online sites so that they can be better known by the wider community," said Berrybenka CEO Jason Lamuda at the opening of JGOS 2017 in Jakarta .

Having a mission to develop local MSMEs in maximizing online channels, JGOS 2017 also supported by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia. According to the ministry, the expansion of the MSME market through the platform E-commerce and marketplace considered to be an important breakthrough in the digital era as it is today. So that it is easier for the market to reach MSME products, here MSMEs also do not need large capital for product marketing.

"The Ministry of Trade welcomes the series of events and JGOS 2017 initiatives as the right means to facilitate and educate MSMEs to be better prepared to enter the digital world. Through this event, Thursday, we can also socialize the Draft Government Regulation on Trading Transactions Through Electronic Systems (RPP TPMSE) to players digital industry," said Fetnayeti as the Director of Business Development and Distribution of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia.
