Disney+ Hotstar Will Launch in Indonesia September 5, 2020

Disney has finally announced plans for the service streaming they are in Indonesia. Carrying the same brand as its presence in India, namely "Disney+ Hotstar", users in Indonesia will be able to start enjoying the application video streaming as of September 5, 2020.

No other information has been submitted yet, including subscription fees or special collaborations promoted with local partners. However, before Telkomsel has launched a survey to customers, regarding their interests and responses if Disney + launched in Indonesia and can be accessed through a special package at Telkomsel.

DailySocial have contacted Disney Indonesia representatives, they are still reluctant to detail the plans for the presence of the new platform. They are simply presenting a statement previously made by Disney CEO Bob Chapek in 2020 third quarter business presentation, who said the plan to launch Disney+ Hotstar services in Indonesia (including in 9 countries outside the United States which are the target market share).

Previously, the company revealed it had reached 60,5 million Disney+ subscribers as of August 3, 2020, after hitting 57,5 million subscribers at the end of the third quarter in June 2020. That number increased by 6 million subscribers from the 54,5 million the company reported on April 4. May in the second quarter.
