Cooperating with JD.ID, Garuda Indonesia Launches GarudaShop

Selling official Garuda Indonesia products, targeting revenue of $1 million in the first year

Today Garuda Indonesia officially announced a strategic partnership with JD.ID by launching a special channel "GarudaShop" on the JD.ID website and application. The collaboration, which will run for two years, will provide the general public with the opportunity to purchase all products up to merchandise official from Garuda Indonesia which has been sold in the air (on board selling).

To the media, Director of Marketing and Information Technology, Nina Sulistyowati, revealed that JD.ID was chosen as a service partner E-commerce from Garuda Indonesia is based on track record positive from the previous cooperation with a subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia, Citilink.

"This collaboration consists of two stages, namely the first year focusing on awareness and sales and in the last year we from Garuda Indonesia will conduct an evaluation related to the continuation of cooperation with JD.ID," said Nina.

The choice of JD.ID as a partner of Garuda Indonesia had previously gone through a long and transparent selection process. Although for the initial stage the logistics process is still being carried out by Garuda Indonesia, however, JD.ID said that later on seeing the existing conditions, it will participate in the distribution process using third-party logistics partners from JD.ID.

Target revenue from sales from Garuda Indonesia and JD.ID

Also present on the occasion, JD.ID President Director Zhang Li, who welcomed the collaboration with Indonesia's national airline. Through this collaboration, JD.ID targets to sell up to 10 thousand products within one year.

"I see the products that will be bought by many people are official products belonging to Garuda Indonesia, goods for traveling to brand others available on the special Garuda Indonesia channel."

Mentioned about the revenue target from Garuda Indonesia related to the sales channel at JD.ID, it was stated that during the first year it was hoped that Garuda Indonesia could earn up to $1 million in revenue.

"This collaboration with JD.ID is one of Garuda Indonesia's efforts to develop the Ancillary Revenue business which continues to grow to be developed. Garuda Indonesia targets an Ancillary Revenue revenue of $2018 million in 54," said Garuda Indonesia President Director Pahala Mansury.
