Job2Go Application Offers On-demand Based Job Search Service

The startup industry in Indonesia is back with a new player. Through PT Sinergi Performa Cipta, a job search application based on on-demand, Job2Go officially introduced.

In an official statement to DailySocial, Co-founder and CEO of Job2Go Kurniawan Santoso said there are a number of factors that encourage the development of these services. First, the increasing trend of current workers in Indonesia who prioritizes flexible working hours and locations, and is willing to try new jobs.

This is also reinforced by the PersolKelly 2018 APAC Workforce Insight research which shows that 39 percent of respondents in Indonesia are interested in finding jobs that are more flexible in terms of work contracts.

In addition, this increasing trend is also triggered by the business model gig economy which emphasizes efficiency and effectiveness with technology. Term gig economy refers to the ecosystem in which a person does work on-demand or short term.

Technological development mobile devices trigger more and more who want to participate in gig economy. This encourages changes in consumer behavior who want services or products that are instant and easy customized, as in sector E-commerce and transportation.

According to him, this trend has a positive impact that grows employment sector, ranging from part-time workers (freelance workers), self-employed (independent workers), and staff recruited on a short term or as needed basis (on-demand workers)

On the other hand, we cannot ignore that the unemployment rate is getting higher. For those with minimal work skills (low skills), job search is certainly a problem. "Therefore, Job2Go targets anyone who wants to quickly get a job that emphasizes simple work and without special skills," he explained.

In terms of products, the Job2Go application is equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to get a match between job supply and demand. In addition, it also provides job vacancy information on-demand and other jobs available in locations near job seekers.

"We process basic information from workers, such as education and skills combined with previous job performance records," said Kurniawan.

Job2Go offers a wide selection of job types, from salespeople, merchandising, SPG, marketing staff, administrative staff, interns, and will develop in various other professions.

Then, to strengthen its services, Job2Go provides an integrated job payment system in the application balance.

For information, Job2Go was developed by Indonesian children who have experience in a number of global companies. Kurniawan Santoso, for example, has worked for several Silicon Valley companies, such as Google, Oracle, and Facebook.

Then, Co-founder & COO Saat Prihartono had a career at OVO and FMCG companies. Lastly, Co-founder & CPO Andry Huzain was previously the Co-founder of TunaiKita and had a career as a senior position in a digital company.

Currently the Job2Go application is available on the Google Play Store and will follow for the iOS version in the App Store.
