PriceArea Targets ASEAN Market Post Acquisition By Yello Mobile

Price comparison site PriceArea recently acquired by a Korean company Yello Mobile. The value itself is not disclosed to the public but what is clear is that PriceArea is Yello Mobile's first acquisition in the Southeast Asia region. Andry Suhaili, Founder and CEO of PriceArea, stated that he remains in control of PriceArea's operations, and the first step that will be taken after the acquisition is to map out regional expansion. With this acquisition, Yello Mobile's goal is to focus on developing PriceArea services by targeting the market online to offline, from SMEs to large enterprises to boost PriceArea's user numbers and revenue.

Regarding regional market expansion, this year PriceArea will focus on targeting the markets of Thailand, the Philippines, and Singapore. "Next year will try to target several other neighboring countries."

Andry explained further for expansion he explained that PriceArea had two strategies. First, PriceArea has many services (not only price comparison), but also reward points, promo aggregator (online and offline) and affiliate platform integrated in PriceArea.
