PERSOL Asia Pacific Acquired Daily Workforce Management Platform "Workmate"

Workmate has operations in Indonesia and Thailand, coming soon to Singapore this month

A platform that delivers frontline staff and workforce management solutions (front line)workmate has officially been acquired by PERSOL Asia Pacific.

With this acquisition in the future, Workmate together with PERSOL want to accelerate workforce solutions on-demand in Asia Pacific. Even though it has been acquired, in the future Workmate will run the business independently.

PERSOL Asia Pacific is part of PERSOL Holdings, listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Prime Market, and one of the largest HR companies in Japan with sales of 1,1 trillion Yen in FY2021. PERSOL has been actively investing in innovative HR technology companies in Asia, including Glints.

Combining Workmate's technology with PERSOL's expertise and regional infrastructure puts us in a higher position to realize that vision," said Workmate Founder & CEO Mathew Ward.

This acquisition will allow Workmate to accelerate its investment into technology and sales and accelerate their rollout to other countries. Currently Workmate has operations in Thailand and Indonesia, and is scheduled to launch in Singapore this October.

Bring the latest technology

By 2025, the informal labor recruitment market is predicted to double. However, behind this great potential, the method of job search is still based on traditional methods, such as word of mouth socialization.

In particular the technology presented by Workmate is disrupting traditional employment agencies to allow companies to quickly access high quality, pre-screened workers for short-term and long-term contract work.

In the process the platform leverages the data held in AI-powered candidate scoring algorithms to improve match quality and provide higher attendance, worker retention and productivity rates.

Founded in 2016, Workmate was launched with the aim of helping businesses find and manage reliable frontline staff, and for workers to find consistent work at leading companies.

In 2019, the company was previously known as Helpster change name become a Workmate. Currently Workmate claims to have helped more than 120 thousand frontline workers find work and more than 800 companies have used Workmate's services and technology.

Most recently in 2019 Workmate had a $5,2 million series A funding led by Atlas Ventures with the participation of Gobi Partners, Beacon Venture Capital, and previous investors.
