ANGIN Gets Initial Funding from 500 Startups and Local Angel Investors

No mention of funding value, will focus on business scale-up and ANGIN services

Today (06/5) WIND (Angel Investment Network Indonesia) officially announces the acquisition of an initial funding round (seed rounds) from 500 Startups and three national investors: Sintesa Group CEO Shinta Kamdani, Cardig International CEO Diono Nurjadin, and JWC Alpha Managing Director & Co-Founder Jefrey Joe. No mention of the value of the funding, it's just that the process has been carried out since last May.

In his explanation David Soukhasing as Managing Director WIND stated that this funding will be focused on strengthening (scale-up) ANGIN maneuvers in Indonesia. Including by launching new features/services, improving services to dozens of angel investors incorporated, and continue to support startups in Indonesia.

Until now, ANGIN has accommodated at least 71 angel investors and has channeled funding from investors in more than 33 startups during its 2 years of operation. ANGIN is committed not only to become an investment platform, but also to have a role in growing the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Indonesia through activities and partnerships that have been established.

"We run WIND independently bootstrapped from the very beginning and our team felt we wanted to have a wider impact and reach. We decided to find external funding support to provide fuel for the expansion," said David Soukhasing.

The experience of 500 Startups investing globally is assessed by ANGIN to provide valuable knowledge in doing scale-up.

Since its founding in 2013, led by Shinta Kamdani, ANGIN organically has experienced rapid growth. Currently, his party also has several services such as business consulting, technology, content and research.
