What is Google Drive and how does it work?

Knowing more about what Google Drive is and what it does will make it easier for you to understand and use it. As a free feature that already exists on almost all smartphones, Google Drive is the closest option to us.

In the official Google Drive page, Google states that the files we save will be stored safely in Google Drive. And everything we upload or create in Drive is ours and is automatically set to private only, unless we decide to share the file with others.

Indeed, we will very easily use Google Drive if we already have a Google account. The Google account we already have comes with 15 GB of free storage to use on Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos. However, if you're not satisfied, you can buy more storage on Google Drive, or upgrade to Google One.

After the upgrade, a Google One subscription replaces your current Drive storage plan.

File Sharing

The 2nd function of Google Drive that you can use is to share files with certain people according to your wishes.

In this feature, Google Drive allows you to quickly invite other people to comment, edit files or folders, or even just to view the files or folders that we choose.

Save Link

Google Drive can save a link to a site that we want to re-open at any time. This certainly can make it easier for us so that we no longer need to find it difficult to copy and paste the link in the notes.

You can enjoy this function if you have installed the Google Drive extension which is on your Google Chrome. Click the triangle icon in the browser to save the currently open link. Or if the link is in the middle of the page, you can save it by right-clicking on the link, then selecting 'Save Link to Google Drive'.

The next function of Google Drive that many people may not know is that Google Drive functions to back up chats and media WhatsApp to Google Drive.
