Warung Pintar Already Has 700 Partner Kiosks in Jabodetabek

Next year plans to launch new features for consumers, expand services to cities on the island of Java, raise new funding

Since its launch in early 2018, Smart Shop, a warung platform designed to enable digitization targeting the most basic level of society, has experienced a significant increase from the number of merchants to partners who have collaborated.

To DailySocial, Co-Founder & CEO of Warung Pintar Agung Bezharie Hadinegoro said, until now Warung Pintar already has around 700 partner kiosks. Every month it is claimed that there are four thousand partners who register to become merchant from all over Indonesia. 70% of requests come from the Greater Jakarta area.

"Basically we want cover all big cities to small cities in Indonesia. As long as they have a stall, then a partnership with Warung Pintar can certainly be done," said Agung.

Still focusing on service for shop owners, most of the buyer's activities at Warung Pintar are buying food and drinks. The rest is the use of free Wi-Fi, purchase credit, and other digital transactions.

"Play product Warung Pintar is to facilitate the business of the shop owner, for example, they don't have to bother making purchases directly. Utilizing existing partners, the services provided from smart stalls can all be done. Starting from purchases, payments, to track sales," said Agung.

Coming soon new features for consumers

In 2019, Warung Pintar plans to launch a new feature, which has not been named, that consumers can take advantage of. Still digital-based, this new feature is claimed to be often done by consumers when visiting stalls.

"If all this time we have been more focused on increasing the business of shop owners, with this new feature, consumers can better use this feature," said Agung.

After getting Series A pendanaan funding worth 57 billion Rupiah in August 2018, now Warung Pintar is again raising funds for the next stage. Another target that Warung Pintar wants to achieve is to expand in Java and other cities in Indonesia.

"With East Ventures position as shareholders make it easier for us to take advantage of the East Ventures ecosystem. Of course focus on business growth, solve problems, and the way we carry out executions," concluded Agung.
