Viding Presents Unified Platform to Hold Virtual Wedding Events

Planning to expand the service area and raise funds this year

Business related to hosting weddings has been significantly disrupted due to the pandemic. PSBB rules up to social distancing, making weddings and wedding receptions decrease in number throughout 2020. Seeing these problems, Viding, platforms one-stop virtual weddings then officially launched in July 2020.

To DailySocial, Founder & CEO of Viding Alkiadi Joyo Diharjo revealed, the platform was established by creating solutions to problems in managing contracts and wedding receptions during the pandemic. Until now, the company claims that the turnover for 2021 has grown 3 times and has made a profit.

The services provided include digital invitations, digital guest books, channels for digitally giving red packets, to facilities for sessions live streaming. All integrated in one unified platform. Users will also get a dashboard to monitor reports from the organization of the event.

"We see weddings with a simple, intimate, and organized concept hybrid become a trend among young people in Indonesia. Our business model is B2C, monetization is done through service fees for each feature, service fees per package, and transaction administration fees from e-angpao," said Alkiadi.

Currently, Viding services are available in Greater Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Jogja, Solo, Semarang, and Bali. In the near future the company also plans to expand its service area in Medan.

Mentioned what makes Viding different from other similar platforms, it is stated that most other platforms only provide services web invites or live streaming just. Meanwhile, Viding provides fully integrated features, which provide the maximum experience for the bride and groom in attending a virtual invitation/wedding.

"Bride and groom can make a page websitehimself easily (drag & drop), in it there are features of E-Guestbook, E-Angpao, Live Streaming and Dashboard Reporting," Alkiadi said.

Since its launch, the Viding platform has been well received by the target users. This is evidenced by the growth in turnover of more than 20% per month; and the many partners of wedding vendors who collaborate, because of Viding's position as a complement.

Viding also offers relatively affordable options, adjusting the packages provided with prices ranging from Rp. 3 million to Rp. 10 million.

There are several plans that will be launched by Viding this year, including expansion in several big cities in Indonesia. Still running a business bootstrapped, they are preparing fundraising activities and working with potential strategic partners for funding.
