Viddsee Asian Short Film Platform Available for iOS

Short film platform Viddsee based in Singapore announced its availability for mobile, starting with iOS. This service focuses on showing curated Asian short films. Viddsee itself is currently trying to increase Indonesian content, including becoming a partner XXI Short Film Festival.

Viddsee Co-founder Ho Jia Jian in a press release stated, "Viddsee films are stories that cannot be watched on television. They are films for the Internet, which can now be accessed through our platform, and in consumers' pockets or handbags. They are entertaining, inspiring, moving, scary and thought provoking. Films for the Internet are the future of entertainment and we are proud to be a part of this evolution."

The average length of a film on Viddsee is no more than 30 minutes. There is also a special channel that displays a collection of short films in a certain selection, such as festivals. Not only freelancing short films, Viddsee has also started publishing short films with a series of 5-7 minutes for each episode.

The interesting features available for the Viddsee mobile application include "Queue" and "Watch Offline". Viddsee claims to use smarter Wi-Fi technology. Movies can be downloaded when a Wi-Fi connection is detected to save quota when using cellular technology.

Another Viddsee co-founder Derek Tan said, "These features are aimed at meeting customer needs, with 40% of them accessing our platform daily to watch high-quality Asian short films and entertainment. We designed this app for mobile users who typically limited with data connectivity."

According to our search, there has been a lot of content produced by Indonesian short film filmmakers who are loaded on Viddsee. Some have won public praise with virtual "likes" that run into the thousands, for example Barbie and Love. Also available special channel for short films participating in the XXI Short Film Festival. Of course, it is hoped that more and more works of the nation's children will be published on this platform.
