WGSHub's "Venture Builder" Develops Ecosystem to Support the Digitization of MSMEs and Startups

WGSHub builds a technology ecosystem to help portfolio companies grow their business

WGS Hub (PT Wira Global Solusi) is venture builder or a startup incubator as a subsidiary of PT Walden Global Services. With the Intellectual Property Rights ecosystem, information technology education, capacity engineering, skill cutting-edge technology, and business and financial networks, WGSHub's mission is to save costs, increase sales, and optimize the valuation of its partners and customers.

Not only technology-based platforms, but also conventional companies who want to adopt digital within their companies, are their partners' targets.

To DailySocial, WGSHub's President Director, Edwin Pramana said, as venture builder, WGSHub wants to contribute in the form of technology in the form of partners who join.

"Although similar to venture capital In general, [..] WGSHub wants to provide technology to startups to MSMEs who want to accelerate their business. In the form of technology, we believe we can help them accelerate their business and of course take advantage of the capital from the funding that has been done for other purposes," said Edwin.

There are three categories of partners that WGSHub is looking at. The first are those who have previously had experience in a particular industry or what is known as industrial experts or professional hire. The next are conventional companies that are managed by the second to third generations and still run their business mostly offline. The last one is startups or MSMEs that have made a profit but want to develop a bigger business.

There are two revenue streams which is the focus of the company. The first is the use of services that are under the auspices of WGSHub or that fall into the category of business as usual. Revenue streams the second is dividends as a portfolio. This dividend is exponential like a startup.

To expand portfolio funding opportunities, WGSHub also establishes strategic partnerships with well-known investment companies. Currently they already have five portfolio companies. Not only focusing on contributing in the form of technology assistance, the company also wants to oversee the growth of their business so that they can be listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

"We are very optimistic about the development of WGSHub in the future. Currently, there are already more than 10 pipeline which we are exploring. Among them there are F&B tech, tech fashion, cybersecurity, animationstudio, and others, so that we believe in getting the potential revenue and a significant increase in the value of the balance sheet,” said Edwin.

Has been listed on the stock

WGSHub has conducted an Initial Public Offering (IPO) with ticker symbol or WGSH code in early December 2021. As planned, the proceeds from the IPO will be used for the company's working capital.

"When present as venture builder, apart from providing solutions for our partners, they can also invest in WGSHub by buying shares in secondary market. They can also buy shares in WGSHub's portfolio," said Edwin.

To reach more MSME players from the craft industry to the creative industry, WGSHub began to focus on metaverse and NFT. Recently the company has acquired Wangsa Ultima Kreasi (Mythologic Studio) to realize the plan.

Mythologic Studio is a 3D Animation Studio that has been around in the industry for a long time. One of his works is the production of the animated film series Kiko which airs on Netflix. The Company together with Mythologic Studio will improve the ecosystem, namely supporting the needs of 3D modeling, game assets, Augmented Reality, to future trends like Metaverse and NFT.

"In 2022 we also plan to launch venture capital targeting startups that are still in the early stages of funding. The way it works is also similar to venture capital in general," said Edwin.
