Supporting the Digitalization of MSMEs in Indonesia, UOB Indonesia Launches the UOB FinLab Program

After being present in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam UOB Indonesia finally officially announced its presence UOB FinLab, a flagship business innovation accelerator program that aims to develop and digitalize the business sector in Indonesia.

The launch marks an important step for UOB FinLab, reflecting UOB's regional expansion into five key markets in ASEAN. It also shows a commitment to strengthening regional ecosystem networks for cross-border capacity development, with the aim of digitalizing and enriching business skills.

Meanwhile, according to Edisono Limin, Country Head of Channels and Digitalisation, UOB Indonesia, "Digital adoption can be a challenge for the business world, including SMEs. We are here to support their digitalization process by providing solutions, networks and important learning opportunities tailored to their needs, starting with the UKM SUKSES program."

UOB FinLab also initiated a first digitalization program called UKM SUKSES (Creative Business System and Prosperous Economic Solutions). This two-day program is designed to provide insights, strategies and practical advice on the application of digital technology in e-commerce, digital marketing and logistics, thereby helping MSMEs to digitalize and develop their businesses.

Simultaneously with the launch, UOB FinLab Indonesia has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with local ecosystem partners such as SMESCO, HIPMI, and APINDO to create an integrated, mutually supportive and dynamic ecosystem, thereby enabling businesses to develop digitally and sustainably .

This collaboration involves the exchange of insights, programs and expertise between countries to digitize, develop skills and provide support to 5.000 businesses in the next three years.

UOB FinLab has provided support to more than 23.000 SMEs across ASEAN. UOB FinLab also facilitates the business sector to leverage regional ecosystems to provide access to a wide range of business and technology experts as well as tools and content to accelerate their digitalization processes.

With multiple perspectives and integrated platforms, UOB Indonesia aims to provide local SMEs with the understanding and strategies needed to navigate the digital era effectively.
