8th Anniversary, Blibli Ambitious to Recruit More SMEs to Become Partners

Have a target of increasing the number of orders by 3,5 times per year

Blibli aims to increase the number of orders on their platform by 3,5 times this year. One of the methods they use is to cooperate with micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as much as possible.

In a presentation at their 8th anniversary event, Blibli exhibited a number of performance improvements. Some of these are a two-fold increase in gross merchandise value (GMV) and their monthly active user visits are around 15-20 million. They also said the number of orders rose 400 percent.

Blibli's CEO, Kusumo Martanto, said that the company's focus this year was to increase the number of orders.

"We are targeting the number of orderIt increased 3,5 times from last year," said Kusumo.

To support the plan, they will collaborate with more SME partners. This is because the contribution of SMEs to the Blibli economy is still only 5 percent.

The small contribution of SMEs is caused by a lack of capacity in terms of quality and quantity. Kusumo gave an example that in several cases there were SMEs that were not ready to accept the rush of orders. There are also cases of socialization that are still minimal in supporting local products.

"That's why we just do the training. Otherwise, it can't be big," added Kusumo.

There are 10 thousand SMEs out of a total of 70 thousand merchant owned by Blibli. Training is their way to accelerate the participation of qualified SMEs. There are at least 50 more trainings that Blibli underwent and more than 300 last year.

"We expect that we can export to foreign countries. But for this year, it will be at least 10 percent," concluded Kusumo.
