Ub Advertisement Launches UbiMan Technology-Based "Human Billboard" Concept

Alternative offline advertising media, focus on recruiting new partners in Jabodetabek

The huge potential for offline marketing activities, which is combined with technology, is one of the reasons Sub-advertising to introduce a new advertising medium called UbiMan. The concept of this marketing activity utilizes human billboards or human-run billboards, referred to as UbiMan Partners.

Founded in 2016, Ub Advertise is an outdoor advertising company (out-of-home advertising) based on technology. Through the platform, advertisers can monitor promotions running online and have access to information such as impressions and areas that have been exposed to those ads. Currently, there are 100 partners who have joined the platform and 400-500 companies have used its services.

Barriers of entry lower

To DailySocial Founder & CEO of Ub Advertisement, Glorio Yulianto, revealed that there is a reason for the vacancy of outdoor advertising media targeted and moves that underlie the birth of Ubiman. This solution is claimed to provide an affordable price and can be launched in massive quantities.

"On the other hand, if so far the products that have been launched by Ub Advertisement, for example vehicle branding, can only be followed by partners who do have a vehicle. UbiMan is not like that because the billboard and all the equipment is provided by us. So, barrier of entryis lower and can automatically open job opportunities for more people."

Concept human billboards itself is not a foreign thing, both inside and outside Indonesia. However, the concept that has been running so far is just an ordinary billboard that cannot be monitored. UbiMan comes with a solution human billboards technology based.

Using GPS, advertisers can track what routes their partners have taken when they brought their billboards. Advertisers can verify themselves whether the route they take is indeed what they want. Ub Iklan technology will collect data impressions along the way for advertiser evaluation needs at the end of the campaign. All of this information can be accessed by advertisers online through the dashboard.

"UbiMan can do many things for brands. One of them is as a brand ambassador for the ads it carries. Before starting to run ads, UbiMans will be given orientation first, at which point they will be given product knowledge about the ads it carries. So they don't just walk around with advertisements, but also spread information and answer questions," Glorio said.

UbiMan can also do flyer and brand activation like sharing product sampling or support events. Even though it is the newest product, Ub Advertisement claims that UbiMan has been used by Blibli to carry out marketing activities.

Focus on recruiting partners

UbiMan is open to anyone who wants to run ads. Currently UbiMan is only available in the Greater Jakarta area. To increase the number of partners, registration in other big cities has also begun, including in Medan.

Later those who register as partners just walk around carrying billboards and earn additional income. Registration to become a partner can be done in the Ub Advertisement application.

"The provision of commissions to UbiMan personnel and payments from brand calculated on a weekly basis. Because this is a new service, the number of UbiMan partners is not too many. Therefore, our current focus for this service is to continue to increase the number of UbiMan partners, not only in Jakarta but also other big cities in Indonesia. In addition, we are also in the development of other features that will further add to the value from UbiMan," Glorio said.
