Tokobagus Surpasses One Billion Page View, Changes Logo, and Emphasizes Buying and Selling Between Consumers

Classifieds site Good store today announced that since July this year, its services have surpassed one billion page views per month with an average of over 25 pages per visit per person, and more than 50.000 new ads daily, to become one of the top five classified ad sites in developing countries. In addition, Tokobagus also launched a new campaign and logo to strengthen its position as a place for buying and selling between consumers.

Menurut press release, Tokobagus will make several changes regarding the placement of classified ads which will prioritize advertisements from individual sellers over shops or companies to reinforce its goal as a site for buying and selling used goods for consumers.

Like other classified ad ventures, Tokobagus is popularly used by shop owners and businesses as an extension of their presence in the market online, but for the sake of consumers, Tokobagus will put the community first.

Tagline The new “The Right Way to Sell Fast” reflects how easy it is to place an ad and how quickly an item sells or sells. Meanwhile, the new logo retains the red color which is the hallmark of Tokobagus.com. Change logo and tagline This is expected to clarify Tokobagus.com's position as a buying and selling service provider consumer-to-consumer, especially for new users.

Managing Director of Tokobagus.com, Michal Klar, said, “We are very pleased to be able to provide buying and selling facilities for used goods for all Indonesians. In the next year, we expect more people – in this case, individual users – to use Tokobagus.com as a means to sell and buy second-hand goods.”

Tokobagus so far has not spoken much about his achievements. One billion point page views Its website access was actually exceeded six months ago and according to various surveys in recent years, Tokobagus has managed to catch up and beat Kaskus as the consumer's preferred site for buying and selling. The most popular product categories at Tokobagus include cars, motorcycles, and property, not too different from the classified ad services in various newspapers in Indonesia.

After a fairly successful campaign through TV media and online this year, Tokobagus will again emphasize the core of the campaign to increase the number of consumers who use its services. In the future, Tokobagus will be more aggressive in advertising on television because according to the company, TV is the most suitable medium for introducing classified advertising services online to more people, especially those who have not yet penetrated the world of the internet.

When the site marketplace Multiply announced in April that they would close the company in early May, almost all the attention in the Indonesian e-commerce world turned to Tokobagus as both companies operate under the supervision of MIH, an investment company from South Africa. Tokobagus's rapid growth made MIH shift all its focus and decided to close Multiply.

According to COO Alif Priyono, Tokobagus has managed to occupy the top five positions among all classified ad sites operating in developing countries. "We are very confident that in the future, when the online market in Indonesia has grown to its maximum, Tokobagus.com can be ranked the fourth or fifth largest online classified in the world, even when compared to developed countries such as the United States and Western Europe. though."

Prior to being appointed head of operations at Tokobagus last October, Alif previously served as content quality and customer service manager although his scope of work also includes legal compliance, marketing online and offline, and even fraud handling. Alif joined Tokobagus in September 2012 from Metranet, a Telkom business unit that once tried to break the challenges of e-commerce by turning plasa.com into a marketplace.

[change] Previously we used the word visit as a pronoun page views which does not yet have an Indonesian equivalent but due to potential confusion, we decided to replace it with page views.
