Tinkerlust Gets Funding from Merah Putih Inc and Danny Oei Wirianto

Startup site developer for buying and selling goods pre-loved women only Tinkerlust recently announced the acquisition of funding from Merah Putih Inc and angel investors Danny Oei Wirianto with an undisclosed value. Tinkerlust was founded by Samira Shihab (CEO) and Aliya Amitra (COO) two years ago, and claims to have seen a 417 percent increase in new user traction.

From the data presented by Tinkerlust, every woman can have around 90 fashion items in their closet which can be worth more than Rp. 10 million and almost half of the contents of their closet are no longer used and often end up in the dump. Therefore, Tinkerlust strives to assist in the buying and selling process by providing services for professional product photography, suggesting product selling prices according to market conditions, providing detailed product descriptions, and listing on site.

Through Tinkerlust, Samira also wants every woman in Indonesia to have access to shopping for fashion items branded easily. "Most Indonesians don't have access to shopping for goods branded like Zara or Tory Burch. Tinkerlust is here as a shopping destination for them so they can get access to stuff branded easily at a low price," he explained.
