Business Growth Claim Ticket, Launch Customer Service via WhatsApp

Immediately launch PayLater and new activity products targeting the B2B segment

Ahead of the Eid holiday, Tiket claims to have increased in terms of traffic for all its services. Starting from booking plane tickets, hotels to trains. The current increase in air ticket prices does not reduce public interest in traveling using air transportation modes. Airline ticket bookings increased by 150% compared to the 2018 homecoming period.

Meanwhile, train orders for 2019 homecoming increased by 52% compared to last year's period. This increase is in line with the prediction of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub), namely the homecoming flow on land routes will increase by around 30 percent in Eid 2019.

"Currently, we don't have any plans to present bus ticket purchases on the platform. Our focus is still on airline tickets, trains and of course hotels," said CMO Tiket Gaery Undarsa.

Customer service via WhatsApp, PayLater and activities

Aiming to provide more service to users, Tiket launched 24-hour customer service using WhatsApp. The strategic partnership launched by Tiket with WhatsApp makes it easy for users to interact directly with the 100-person Customer Service (CS) team specially prepared by Tiket.

This WhatsApp feature has begun to be in demand by users, because it is fast and certainly more accessible, compared to customer service using telephone or email.

"We can make sure that within 5 minutes, the CS team immediately greets users and provides the needed assistance. Currently we are still utilizing the CS team, in the future we also plan to apply AI technology to machine learning for general questions," said Gaery.

Currently, Tiket has presented various payment options to users, from bank transfers to installments without a credit card in partnership with Kredivo. When asked whether Tiket has plans to launch PayLater, it was stated that there were plans, and if preparations were final, PayLater would be launched in 2019.

The application, which has been downloaded by 16 million people, claims that it will also provide additional features in the activity category, which can be utilized by business owners. Sales of events to concert tickets on the Tiket platform are also currently experiencing a significant increase. With the launch of this new feature, it is hoped that it can help users as well as business owners. Previously, it was reported that Tiket began to focus on expanding B2B segment.

"If we are ready, PayLater, which is directly supported by Tiket and products in the activity category targeting the B2B segment, we will also present this year," said Gaery.

Adding a partnership

Tiket has also carried out strategic cooperation with Gojek through Go-Travel. Utilizing the services available on the Tiket platform, now Go-Jek users can purchase Tiket's travel products. The collaboration, which was just inaugurated in early May, is expected to reach more users and support the goals of Gojek to become a Super App.

"Although Tickets and Gojek are under the same auspices, namely GDP Venture, but this strategic partnership has come to our attention at Tiket which is also an application made by the nation's children, as is the case with Gojek. We are optimistic that this collaboration can produce positive results," said Gaery.

Previous Grab have also taken Booking.com and Agoda provides in-app hotel booking options Grab. Meanwhile, Shopee has teamed up with Traveloka.

Another strategic partnership introduced by Tiket is with the platform marketplace Umrah.com. Startups that are specifically fostered by the founder This ticket, provides free Umrah gifts in a special Ticket promo. To strengthen the ecosystem, Tiket regularly provides mentoring related startups.

"Besides Umrah, we also have other fostered startups that have received education up to mentoring straight from us. In the future we also plan to add mentoring this program is for startups that are relevant to us," said Gaery.
