Through Road to GECommunity Summit 2017, MaGIC Explains Its Vision on Entrepreneurship

The Road to Global Entrepreneurship Community Summit 2017 (GECommunity Summit 2017) Jakarta event had to be held on 22 July. In general, the core of the discussion at this event is about the future design of entrepreneurship that will be offered as the mission of the GECommunity Summit 2017 at the end of next year. The event was started by Chairman of GECommunity YBhg Tan Sri Dr. Mohd Irwan Serigar. In keynoteIn his post he talked about how the Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Center (MaGIC) supports the growth of sustainable entrepreneurship in the region.

One of the things that is so emphasized is about innovation. Through innovation Irwan said that there would be many opportunities for value creation and new economic incentives. One of the concentrations of MaGIC is to provide resources to provide trigger on the development of these innovations, apart from being a hub for the perpetrators. Another thing that MaGIC also does is to connect entrepreneurs with corporations, academics, innovation centers to government circles.

Regarding MaGIC's mission for a global entrepreneurial environment, in the follow-up session delivered by MaGIC CEO Ashran Dato' Ghazi his party will do the same on a global scale, connecting the entrepreneurial ecosystem with industry leaders. This collaboration is considered to provide an in-depth discussion around new technologies, trends and consumer behavior, challenges and opportunities for the future of specific industries. In addition, to map various real problems that can be the basis of a product development.

In Jakarta, the 2017 Road to GECommunity Summit was held in collaboration with Bekraf and Kejora. Thus, it is hoped that many entrepreneurial actors will participate in the GECommunity Summit. The previous year, GECommunity focused on discussing "Reimagine the Future of Entrepreneurs" presenting many speakers from the industrial and startup realms. At least 6000 participants joined from the event, resulting in 50 initiatives formulated for various types of industries.

The Road to GECommunity Summit 2017 event itself will still be held in several other countries, with specific discussions according to the needs of each region. In Indonesia, collaboration between various components in improving the quality of the digital creative industry is considered to be one of the urgencies.
