TopKarir Try to Provide Job Vacancies for the Young Generation

Especially for "first jobber" graduates of SMK, Vocational Academy, and S1

Job vacancies are one of the topics that are not finished to be discussed. In Indonesia's startup ecosystem, too, many are trying to provide services to facilitate and help job seekers and job providers to connect with each other. One of which is TopCareer. Not only providing information on TopKarir job vacancies, it also provides information on training, certification and scholarships.

TopKarir started its work since July 2015. From there TopKarir continued to grow and get a number of improvements until now. TopKarir may not be the only one in Indonesia, but with a specific target, TopKarir is trying to capture the hottest market segment, namely the younger generation.

TopKarir clearly targets vocational graduates (skilled workers), graduates from academics or universities, and job seekers with up to 5 years of experience. The criteria clearly state that their target is young people with specific skills.

Carrying a mission to increase the competitiveness of Indonesia's young workforce through career management and supporting entrepreneurship, TopKarir provides a wide selection of features. Not only vacancies, TopKarir is also equipped with information on internships, training and certification, scholarships, and tips on career development.

Like a service that makes job search easier, TopKarir also provides a feature to create a digital CV or resume that can be printed or used to apply for jobs posted on the TopKarir service. Reportedly TopKarir will also plan to launch the latest features in the form of features interview which can be done live or recorded.

TopKarir CEO Bayu J. Wirjoatmodjo to DailySocial said that TopKarir is currently growing, both in terms of the number of vacancies advertisements, scholarships, training and certifications as well as the number of users who join. So far, the most TopKarir users are in the age range of 19-26 years.

"We focus on young Indonesians, especially our younger siblings who are in the segment skilled workers (skilled worker) and fresh graduates, which currently no one is seriously working on. [We] help them improve themselves through Sharing session, training classes, and so on. We have the support of the government so that it is more reliable,” explained Bayu.

Bayu further explained that TopKarir partners with communities that share the same vision, which is to focus on increasing the competitiveness of Indonesian youth and reducing the number of open unemployment in Indonesia.

When asked about this year's target, Bayu said, "Our target this year is to be recognized by the company's HRD, to be sought after by job seekers, [and] to work together with the government to channel jobs for SMK graduates," Bayu explained.
