The STRONGBEE App Makes it Easy to Find and Book Sports Facilities

Has accommodated 200 sports facilities and 300 professional coaches

Starting from his passion for sports, Farah Suraputra then initiated STRONGBEE. The goal is to facilitate people who like to exercise with comprehensive information related to sports and fitness facilities. According to him, the current condition of the information is not evenly distributed. Most still depend on word of mouth and search engines, so that sometimes it becomes less structured and credible.

"It is for this reason that I, together with Co-Founder Rian Bastian, developed STRONGBEE, to help sports lovers find facilities sports, fitness, and wellness according to the [nearest] location. Users can also view and provide ratings to assist other users in determining facilities," said Farah.

From a business model perspective, STRONGBEE applies a B2B and B2C approach. Realized with a partnership model with facility providers (charges commission) and subscription services in the application.

Until now, STRONGBEE has had around 5 thousand active users every month. They have also reached 200 studios, gym, and field; as well as embracing 300 professional sports coaches.

"Strongbee partners are still concentrated in Jakarta, but we also have partners in Bandung, Malang and Bali. We plan to continue to spread the service throughout Indonesia," said Farah.

Unlike other platforms such as Classpass, R FitnessR Fitness, Doogether and FitCo, STRONGBEE claims not only to offer classes fitness, but also personal trainers, sports fields, accommodating events and physiotherapy.

For subscription options, they also provide classes in the form of single visits and subscription, with the hope of providing an opportunity for those who want to try a new class or who want to subscribe.

STRONGBEE Wallet

For payment options, STRONGBEE offers quite a variety of choices. Starting from cash payments, credit cards, GoPay, virtual accounts, bank transfers, up to through STRONGBEE Wallet.

Asked how the STRONGBEE digital wallet works, Farah said that once a user has registered for a subscription, they can process it top up according to the payment method provided by the platform. Later the subscription value or subscription will be converted into funds in the STRONGBEE wallet.

"Our wallets are currently not registered with Bank Indonesia, because the function of the wallet itself for each deposited fund can only be used for booking or just order. So that every transaction will be easier, more concise, and instant compared to payment using payment method other. Users can also enjoy additional funds worth 40% of the value paid," said Farah.

This year there are several targets that the company wants to achieve, including fundraising. STRONGBEE also plans to soon launch SaaS for partners that can simplify business management both in processing orders and partner service information.

"During this pandemic, we have also increased public awareness about healthy living. We are happy to facilitate this need, either by providing online sports classes or by spreading related information through our blogs and social media," concluded Farah.
