LINE TODAY App Presents New Look and Artificial Intelligence-Based Recommendation System

There's something new from the LINE TODAY app. If you download Update the latest version on Android or iOS, you will see a new look which is divided into three sections: Home, My Category, and Explore. Not only that, LINE TODAY has also added Artificial Intelligence Recommender System (AiRS) technology developed by its own parent company, NAVER.

We start with the changes that are immediately visible to the naked eye first, and which have actually been available since mid-August, namely the addition of three tab just on the bottom row.

As expected, in the Home section, the application will present various hot news through the Trending and For You segments. Through this display, users can also find the News Story feature, which is designed to summarize a wide selection of daily news in a more concise and lightweight form.

Entered into tab My Category, this is where users can choose news categories according to their respective preferences, as well as access popular categories such as Showbiz, News and Life. If you want a more complete category view, users just need to open it tab the third one, namely tab explore.

This new display is of course prepared so that users can more easily find the latest information through LINE TODAY. But what is more interesting is the AiRS technology, which is basically an artificial intelligence-based recommendation system, which is able to recognize the user's reading habits over time.

The goal is to present a series of news that is completely tailored to the preferences of each reader automatically. The three variables that AiRS pays attention to in carrying out their work are the reader profile, reading habits, and the characteristics of the content in the article, and the results of the recommendations can be found directly in the For You segment on tab Home was earlier.

Despite all the updates, the Android version of the LINE TODAY application apparently only has a size of 4 MB. LINE TODAY can indeed be accessed directly from browser, but the features above are of course only available in the application, and it turns out that we also don't have to sacrifice too much memory for all of that.
