Traveloka Inaugurates Xperience Feature, Presents Curated Tourism Products and Entertainment Activities

Equipped with a QR Code feature for efficient user access when entering entertainment venues

After previously being known as the Activities and Recreation feature, now Traveloka has inaugurated the latest feature which is claimed to be the sub brand from Traveloka, namely Xperience. Full-featured that includes search and booking services for various categories of leisure and lifestyle activities. Starting from show tickets, tours, children's playgrounds, beauty, cinema, karaoke to sports classes.

This feature was introduced by Traveloka since the beginning of 2019. As an effort, Traveloka expands its wings by completing products and services for entertainment and lifestyle needs that are integrated in one application.

Head of Experience Product Marketing Traveloka Terry Santoso revealed, Traveloka Xperience comes with bright coral colors and a different look for loyal users. In addition to the special search feature, Traveloka Xperience, which is available on the Traveloka application, can also be used by placing the "Nearby" position on the Traveloka map that has been integrated with Google Maps.

"Currently, we have around 15 thousand products and 10 sub-categories that are specially made and tightly curated by the Traveloka team. In order to provide convenience and various choices for users," Terry said.

Mentioned whether in the end this Xperience feature will do spin-off and leaving the ecosystem within the Traveloka application, Terry emphasized that this would not happen. The Traveloka application itself has now been downloaded more than 40 million times with 35 million active users every month and is available in 7 countries. Australia become the newest country that has now become part of Traveloka since February 2019.

"Our focus aside from Indonesia, of course, is to provide services and products specifically to users in Southeast Asia. Not only helping business owners promote to other countries, but also being able to acquire more local users to access information and the services they provide," Terry said.

Supported by technology and customer service

One of the features currently being developed by Traveloka Xperience is the use of a QR Code for access to entertainment venues. In this way, it is hoped that Traveloka Xperience users will be able to enter more easily with quick access smartphone.

Traveloka also provides fast entry access, in collaboration with several entertainment venues. To speed up the transaction process, Traveloka claims that the payment process can be done quickly in just 5 seconds, until the notification email and proof of payment are received by the user.

"In the future we will also present technology that is faster and of course useful for users as well as business owners. Not only will it help business owners promote, but if you join Xperience, we can help them increase their business," said Terry.

Currently, Traveloka Xperience focuses on services and products that target consumers (B2C). Related to business products targeting B2B such as MICE (meetings, incentives, conferencing, exhibitions), Terry said he had no plans to target this segment.

Utilise data analytics collected, Xperience can also provide relevant recommendations to business owners, as well as help them prepare products or tour packages that are interesting and needed by users.

"Ultimately we want to be a platform end-to-end for users or travelers who are looking for recommendations, information and attractive tourist accommodations according to their needs," said Terry.
