Student Creativity Program (PKM): Encouraging Creativity and Innovation Among Students

Cultivating creativity since entering the productive age is very important. Creativity is the key to opening various opportunities and creating new innovations. In productive age, individuals have high energy and enthusiasm to create and innovate. Therefore, it is important for us to make the best use of this productive age.

The Indonesian government understands the importance of fostering this creativity, especially for the younger generation. Therefore, the government has a program called the Student Creativity Program or commonly abbreviated as PKM. This program is specifically designed for students as an effort to improve the quality of students in tertiary institutions.

PKM is an activity that aims to improve students' academic and/or professional abilities. Through PKM, students are expected to be able to apply, develop, and disseminate science, technology, and/or art. In addition, PKM also aims to enrich national culture.

There are many benefits that can be achieved by students in participating in PKM. Apart from gaining new knowledge and skills, students can also expand their network and meet many new people. PKM is also a place for students to exchange knowledge and learn something that has not been or cannot be obtained on campus.

Knowledge is not only obtained in the classroom. Through PKM, students can learn outside the classroom and meet new people. This off-campus experience has allowed me to develop myself, both in terms of knowledge, soft skills, hard skills, and networking.

This PKM is made into a program that is also devoted to developing HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills), creative thinking and critical thinking from students. Through PKM, students are expected to be able to think critically, creatively, and be able to solve problems in an innovative way.

Thus, PKM is a very useful program for students. Through PKM, students not only get new knowledge and skills, but also valuable experience that can help them face challenges in the future. So, don't hesitate to take part in the PKM and make the most of this opportunity!
