Thanks to Omnichannel, Blibli Claims Positive Growth in the Third Quarter of 2022

Blibli now operates more than 100 flagship stores, as well as 70 Ranch Market outlets across Indonesia

PT Global Digital Niaga Tbk (Blibli) revealed that the continuation of innovation to bring the company closer as platform omnichannel Trade and lifestyle are considered capable of driving positive performance up to the third quarter of 2022. One of the indicators can be seen from the consolidated TPV (Total Purchasing Value) growth of 105% yoy to IDR 40,6 trillion.

The biggest driver of the increase in TPV came from the 3P Retail segment, which was contributed by the recovery in the travel sector at tiket.com. The TPV growth was also followed by an increase in consolidated Gross Profit Before Discount (GPBD), to IDR 18 trillion, an increase of 167% from the previous IDR 679 billion. Thus, Blibli managed to record an increase in the Take Rate to 4,5% from the previous 3,4%.

Furthermore, in the company's financial statements, TPV's growth was supported by organic growth, as seen from the Yearly Transaction Users (YTU), which increased to 4,3 million users from 2,4 million users.

Overall, for net income (net revenue) consolidation grew 98% to Rp10,5 trillion, while the percentage of EBITDA to TPV was recorded to be better although still negative, to -8,5% from -11,3%. This was driven by increased operational expense efficiency.

Business expansion

In an official statement released today (22/12), the company explained that so far this year it has continued to strengthen its presence in the Physical Store segment by opening several flagship stores, consisting of monobrand store, such as Samsung Experience Store and Hello (for Apple brands as tier-1 partners), and multibrand store, such as Blibli Store and Trade-in shop.

As of now, Blibli has operated more than 100 flagship store, as well as 70 Ranch Market outlets spread throughout Indonesia. Until September 2022, solution omnichannel Blibli also reaches more than 27 thousand Click & Collect and Blibli InStore, as well as more than 160 thousand Blibli Partners who are micro entrepreneurs and grocery stores.

In connection with strengthening synergies with subsidiaries, tiket.com and Ranch Market, through the launch unified ecosystem Blibli Tiket offers Single Sign-On (SSO) and Loyalty Parity for both platforms. The same strategy has also been completed between Blibli and tiket.com in April 2022.

Blibli's subsidiary, tiket.com, earlier this month announced its expansion into Malaysia by establishing a business entity called Global Tiket Malaysia Sdn Bhd (GTM). In the share ownership structure, PT Global Tiket Network is the controlling owner of 99,99%.
