Telkom Will Spin-Off PaDi B2B Marketplace Unit in the Second Quarter of 2023
EVP Digital Business & Technology Komang Aryasa admitted that he is currently preparing an operating company to cover the digital business that is released independently
PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (IDX: TLKM) revealed its readiness to expand its digital business portfolio this year. The company plans to establish operating company (opco) in the second quarter to cover the digital business unit that will be released (spin-off) independently.
In an exclusive interview by DailySocial.id, Executive Vice President (EVP) Digital Business & Technology Komang Aryasa said that an independent entity is one of the steps that needs to be taken if you want to scale your digital business. With this step, his party can open access for outside investors who are interested in investing their capital.
"We are considering opco models like INDICO, where underneath there will be other opcos. One that will be [released] for the initial stage is the Digital Market (PaDi) and Logees. We are exploring interested [investors]. chips in here, and awaiting [parent company] approval. Our target in the next three months is to execute [PaDi] into opco," said Komang.
For your information, INDICO is umbrella brand from PT Telkomsel Digital Ecosystem (TED) which houses three digital entities, namely Kuncie, Fita, and Majamojo. This entity was officially founded last year led by Andi Kristianto as CEO.
