Tees Indonesia Raise Funding

500 Startups, 8Capita and Several Angel Investors from Indonesia Participate

On-demand souvenir marketplace service, Indonesian Tees, recently announced funding from 500 Startups, 8Capita as well as several Angel Investors from Indonesia led by Badroni Yuzirman, founder of the Hands Above (TDA) business community. Detailed information on this funding is not disclosed.

This funding, according to co-founder Gary Lilardi, will be used to bring Tees services to markets outside Indonesia, specifically targeting Southeast Asia. "This combination of local and regional investors makes us confident to expand regionally," said Gary through an official press release.

Co-founder Aria Rajasa stated that his current team of 15 will focus on bringing Tees into markets such as Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore. "We are also trying to get into the global market and are looking for distribution partners who can help us," said Aria Rajasa, who was previously the founder of Gantibaju.com.

Khailee Ng from 500startups also said the same thing, “This kind of business model has proven to be successful in many countries. Indonesia and Southeast Asia are the next two best options to develop a similar business model.”

Tees Indonesia may have started from just selling on-demand t-shirts, but now there are a variety of products for sale ranging from mugs, posters, jackets, canvas, casings and others. I would not be surprised if in the near future Tees will change its name to facilitate other products outside of t-shirts.
