Targeting Hotels and Restaurants, PanenID Presents Fresh Vegetables Directly from Farmers

Plans to expand service area, already has 300 farmer partners in Bali

The size of the opportunity agritech in Indonesia gave birth to a variety of technology-based services from local startups in the industry. After Vegetablebox, Rego Pantes to 8Villages, another new service that tries to provide distribution solutions between farmers and buyers, namely PanenID. The startup founded by Astrid Juanita Stephanie was created from her previous work background.

"Previously, I worked for the national company CERES GROUP, hotels and restaurants. Together with partners who are graduates agriculture UGM, we want to revolutionize supply chain leaders in the field agriculture to be more efficient and profitable for farmers," said Astrid to DailySocial.

Similar to service agritech Another is trying to cut the process of selling and buying vegetables, PanenID, which is currently only available on the island of Java, claims to have a special difference in terms of the target market.

"We specifically only target the B2B segment, especially to hotels, restaurants, cafes and catering, which require fresh vegetable products directly from farmers," said Astrid.

Currently, PanenID has developed partnerships with farmers living in Bali and ensures quality and sustainable agricultural products.

"We made ordering platforms tailored to their needs, line both or a complete platform," said Astrid.

Plans to expand PanenID's service area

To help partner farmers produce quality vegetable products, the team HarvestID always accompany them by providing training farmer manager. Among them are making garden plans according to market needs, standardizing procedures so that the vegetables produced are consistent and calculating the government purchase price (HPP) so that farmers know clearly the benefits they get.

"Currently, PanenID has as many as 300 farmer partners spread over 4 villages in Bali," said Astrid.

The startup, which is one of the graduates of the third batch of GnB Accelerator program, already has angel investors and has won various startup competitions. This achievement is called PanenID's capital to run a business.

In addition to expanding the service area and increasing the number of products, PanenID's next target is to improve the welfare of more farmers in the region. PanenID is available in the form of a mobile application for Android and iOS platforms.

"We want to revolutionize distribution channels so that farmers can directly sell to hotels and restaurants through the PanenID platform," concluded Astrid.
