Successfully Reaching 1 Million Women MSME 'CEOs', Amartha is Ready to Reach More with Collaboration

Amartha Successfully Reached 1 Million 'CEO' of Women MSMEs at the Moment of International Women's Day

Along with the moment International Women's Day which was commemorated yesterday (8/3), today (9/3), Amartha celebrates its success in reaching one million women micro-entrepreneurs. During its 12 years of existence, Amartha has always focused on creating financial inclusion and ensuring that the standard of living of micro-enterprises, especially women, improves by providing access to capital.

In addition to focusing on reaching more MSMEs, Amartha also continues to focus on maintaining quality loan. This is also supported by the fact that Amartha has maintained its NPL below 0,5% since 2020.

Therefore, Andi Typhoon Garuda Putra, as Founder & CEO Amartha, thanked and was satisfied with all the teams who had collaborated in providing capital for Amartha's partners. Then, Andi also confirmed that milestone this is not the end, but the beginning, and sure milestone the next will be achieved much faster than this with the help of collaboration and features through crowdfunding Amartha which has been available in the application since the end of 2021.

"This achievement is not the end of the journey but the beginning for us to continue to reach out to millions of other MSME entrepreneurs, so that even more massive collaboration is needed from the community to accelerate the growth of women MSMEs in Indonesia," said Andi.

Collaboration is really needed in today's era to help realize the social mission of Amartha. In successfully funding one million female MSME 'CEOs', Amartha is still determined to be able to reach more female MSME 'CEOs' throughout Indonesia.

In addition to thanking all parties who helped achieve this one million partners, Andi also invited the wider community to take part in funding women's MSMEs with Amartha starting from Rp. 100.000 in the #100ribuSejutaOpportunity campaign.

Menurut Aria Widyanto, Chief Risk and Sustainability Officer Amartha, by helping to fund women entrepreneur partners through Amartha, financiers can ensure partners' standard of living increases and can help partners earn money for their children's education.

Not only through funding, Amartha also continues to be consistent in providing training weekly to partners in groups about financial literacy, digital literacy, and entrepreneurial skills that can help partners access a wider market and have new relationships.

With this strategy, Amartha noted that 95% of partners have succeeded in meeting basic needs. Then, there are 96% of partners who have succeeded in improving the welfare of their families. This positive impact is not only felt by partners and families, but also the surrounding community because of the creation of new job opportunities in the village where 75% of the total workforce also comes from women.

Although the figure of one million is a large number, in fact up to now there are still 30 million MSMEs that have not yet obtained access to capital. This fact is also explained by President Commissioner Amartha, Rudiantara, in an event Virtual Media Briefing: Launching One Million Mitra Amartha. He is sure that microfinance like Amartha can reach more MSMEs, especially with digital transformation and collaboration.
