Strengthening the Supply Chain, Youtap Utilizes the Salim Group's Ecosystem Assets

Youtap Indonesia strengthens its supply chain by presenting the official Youtap Official Store (YOS) store on the BOS YouTab platform. All in-store supplies leverage the ecosystem of parent Youtap, viz Salim Group, through PT Indomarco Adi Prima.

In its launch event today (25/7), CEO of Youtap Indonesia Herman Suharto said that the supply chain is still a challenge for MSMEs. Not to mention, meeting these routine needs is not an easy process because they have to leave the house and go to grocery stores to get cheap prices or wait for distributors to come.

When the message on the platform E-commerce although, usually the shipping costs charged are not cheap because the stock is purchased in wholesale quantities. Now YOS enables business partners to meet the needs of raw material stocks and merchandise stocks. There are thousands of SKUs to choose from at low prices and free shipping.

"By strategically partnering with Indomarco Adi Prima, we can bring this YOS to our business partners to be able to shop for their business needs with the most complete products, the lowest wholesale prices, and the fastest free shipping," he said.

Youtap service development

He continued, in the initial journey of Youtap, they first came in with a payment solution. Then following developments, it appears that partners need additional solutions in running business operations, therefore Youtap POS was developed, a digital cashier application that can be used from smartphones and tablets.

Then, presenting Youtap BOS in March 2023. This platform can be accessed through a website or application, intended for business owners as a tool for starting, managing, monitoring and managing a business. Youtap BOS is connected with more than 300 local to national suppliers.

"In Youtap BOS there are three types channel supplier. First, local suppliers screened by YouTap field teams in seven locations. Second, national suppliers what we direct cooperation, such as Nutrifood, Campina, and Sosro. Finally, the Official Store with Indomarco."

PT Indomarco Adi Prima is part of the Salim Group which operates as a distributor of basic food products, especially Indofood products. The company has thousands of warehouse networks spread throughout Indonesia. All of these warehouses are said to have been integrated with YOS.

In the mechanism, every transaction that occurs at the Youtap Official Store will be viewed based on the location of the warehouse and the distance to the buyer's location. Usually there is one warehouse in each district. By system, the nearest warehouse to the buyer will receive notifications for every transaction they need to deliver.

"Because there is scheduling delivery and mapping, it becomes efficient and the price remains affordable. We can still offer free shipping with a minimum transaction requirement of IDR 400 thousand.

After connecting with the Indomarco Adi Prima ecosystem, Youtap has the opportunity to expand its supply chain to 200 cities out of a total of 510 cities in Indonesia where Youtap's solution coverage has been adopted. Adoption of other Youtap products, such as POS and payments, will also be strengthened given the increasingly positive trend.

"We are always growing double digits for QR payment, user subscription for POS is also high in tier 2-3 cities. We want to maintain growth there because now the growth has doubled compared to tier 1. It denotes adoption tech up there," he concluded.

Currently there are more than 300 local to national suppliers who have joined Youtap BOS. The number of YouTap merchants is said to have more than 500 thousand users spread across 510 cities in Indonesia.
