Aruna Fishery Platform Developer Startup Gets Seed Funding from UMG Indonesia

Startup developer of digital solutions for the fisheries and marine sector Aruna, announced that it received funding from UMG Indonesia, a company that sells agricultural equipment such as tractors and mowers. This funding is also the beginning of the company's partnership (under the auspices of the UMG Group) to help Aruna in the field of microfinancing, meeting logistics needs, and also providing refrigeration storage facilities (cold storage).

The confirmation of the cooperation was carried out together with the event gathering entitled "Integrated Digital Fisheries Technology for Indonesian Maritime Advancement" which was held on Wednesday (05/4). The event was also attended by extended family and colleagues from the Indonesian fisheries community, representatives from the Ministry of Marine Affairs & Fisheries, the Archipelago Fisheries Society (MPN), representatives from the Ministry of Cooperatives & SMEs, as well as representatives from IKPI (Indonesian Fisheries Cooperative Parent).

With this synergy, Aruna wants to continue to strengthen its steps in its vision and mission to improve the welfare of fishermen through digital technology resources and expertise. Armed with knowledge, experience, and relationships with people who play a role in fisheries, Aruna wants to spur her steps to develop herself to all regions in Indonesia. Aruna has also implemented several fishing groups and cooperatives in areas of Indonesia, such as West Java, Aceh, South Sulawesi, East Kalimantan, and several other areas.
