Plaza Indonesia changes the concept

Plaza Indonesia management was also present on the same occasion. Astri Abyanti as General Manager of Plaza Indonesia Extension said this was the first time the management participated in an activity themed on digital technology.

Astri admits that as a lifestyle retailer, her party also feels disturbed by the developments that have occurred since the last few years. As a result, inevitably forced management to improve and now position itself as a lifestyle center, no longer just a shopping center.

"Our concept has finally changed, we are making a lot of improvements. One of them is by making Plaza Indonesia Extension on floors 4 to 6 to reach more target consumers," explained Astri.

He continued that Plaza Indonesia was still targeting the premium class. However, specifically on the Extension floor, there are many adjustments to reach communities, entrepreneurs, business owners, and so on so that the concepts adopted on these three floors are quite contrasting in terms of design and tenants compared to the contents on floors 1 to 3.

This decision was taken because seen from the age segment of visitors, it turns out that people aged 17 to 35 years are starting to increase. Their purchasing power to buy accessories products is quite high, compared to fashion products.

To meet these needs, the tenants that are filled vary, there are restaurants with affordable prices, salons, beauty clinics, and others which are dominated by local players and have been tightly curated beforehand.

"Now that the renovation at Extension is still ongoing, it is planned to be inaugurated in March 2019. There are many uses of technology from the WIR Group that we will use to improve the consumer shopping experience."

Player co-working space Plaza Indonesia also invited Go-Work to attend, so that Plaza Indonesia's goal as a lifestyle center can be realized immediately. Currently the number of visits on weekdays at Plaza Indonesia is around 25 thousand, on weekends the number has doubled.
