Spotify Presents Music + Talk Feature in Indonesia

Music touches almost all age groups and reaches large parts of the world thanks to the support of a wider platform, one of which is through Spotify. On the other hand, talking about music has also become a popular topic on another Spotify platform, Music+ Talk which was tested in several countries.

Getting a very good response, Spotify decided to expand the reach of Music+ Talk to 15 countries including Indonesia. The other 14 countries are Japan, India, Philippines, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Colombia.

What makes Music+ Talk different is its versatility as well as its uniqueness in providing a fun space for creators to talk about music, or combine podcasts with the 70 million songs on Spotify.

Music+ Talk testing started in 2020, where they tried to introduce a new podcast that combines songs with spoken commentary similar to an enhanced playlist, but packaged in an episode format. This concept is called Music + Talk and podcast shows with this concept can now be created by anyone using Anchor.

This feature gives creators space to create podcasts that will directly benefit musicians, as they will have a greater opportunity to reach more new audiences through songs played in Music + Talk shows.

For loyal listeners, Music+ Talk not only makes it easier for them to love audio content, but also provides a new way to interact and explore music in the same podcast episode as a playlist.

From there, listeners can immediately like, save, and view more information about the song they find, without having to leave the podcast episode page or manually search.

“We are thrilled to be able to bring Music + Talk to Indonesia, home to music fans and the thriving podcasting industry. Music + Talk is one of our most requested creations by podcasters and music lovers around the world, which creators can now use to create their own Music + Talk shows using Spotify's catalog of 70 million songs. With this introduction, more artists, creators and even fans can express themselves freely on Spotify – creating an unprecedented new way to interact with their friends or fans,” said Carl Zuzarte, Head of Studios, Southeast Asia in a statement. press release that Trikinet received.
