Jakarta Ready to Hold Social Media Week Event 23-27 February

The influence of technology adoption on people's lives has a very fast and massive impact. Until now we are present in an era where humans can connect with each other very easily. Taking advantage of this momentum, there was an initiation called Social Media Week (SMW) which has a mission to connect billions of other people in the world at a technology conference in Jakarta, and other big cities in the world from 23 to 27 February 2015.

Social Media Week (SMW) is a leading media platform and global scale event that will take place at Pacific Place Mall, Jakarta. The event will discuss getting more benefits and living more productively in an all-digital and connected era.

Social Media Week (SMW) itself is a global event that pays attention to the impact that social media has on social, cultural, and economic aspects around the world. The event, which is held twice a year (February and September) helps communities and organizations connect with each other through collaboration, learning, and sharing ideas or other information. Held for the first time in Jakarta in 2009, this year's SMW has the title "Upwardly Mobile: The Rise of The Connected Class".

Connected Class (Connected Class) is a term used by SMW to refer to one part of the community that has been connected and has access (the Internet). As additional information, there are currently three billion of us (the Connected Class) and the number is predicted to double by 2022.

Through this theme, the fundamental problem that SMW is trying to raise is about what can be achieved further by humans in an era where everything is connected. SMW is a good opportunity for those who are involved in the technology industry in the country. In addition to participating in sharing sessions from experts for personal use, SMW is also open to brand owners as a place to introduce their products.

In this prestigious event, SMW Jakarta presents a line of speakers who have a strong influence on the industry they are currently involved in, such as Path Indonesia Country Manager William Tunggaldjaja, CEO GrabTaxi Anthony Tan, Co-Founder of Kaskus Networks Andrew Darwis, Twitter Indonesia Business Head Rick Mulia, VP International Buzzfeed Scott Lamb. and many more.
