Sisternet Presents Training and Workshop for Indonesian Women

Aiming for 'Empowering Woman' Sisternet, a web portal created especially for Indonesian women who have launched by XL Axiata since 2015 then, until now has presented information about fashion trends, hobbies, technology, beauty and health, entertainment, self-development to parenting. “Women are very influential in all aspects, both in family life, even in the business sphere. Women do have more wants and needs than men. They are also judged to have multi-tasking abilities. For this reason, we present Sisternet as a Digital Home and at the same time as a 'Personal Assistant' for women to support daily activities,” said XL Axiata Chief Digital Services Officer Joseph Lumban Gaol.

With a vision to drive Indonesia's digital economy, Sisternet targets young women aged 21-35 years, educated and have economic potential, have financial capabilities and are internet and internet literate. tech savvy.

In terms of economic capacity, they fall into various categories, have enough time and continue to want to learn so that they can provide benefits among Indonesian women. Furthermore, Sisternet will be directed to become crowdsourcing and sharing economy platforms digitally based.

Organize training, competitions and quizzes

At the beginning of 2017, Sisternet provided several trainings and competitions for Indonesian women to participate in. Among others are Sisternet Academy in the form of workshops with big brand partners to empower the “sisters” or a special name for Sisternet members. The workshops that have been prepared include photography, cooking, beauty, and self-development. The workshop speakers and mentors are some of the biggest names in their field.

“As a Digital House, Sisternet provides various information that women need. Besides that, it is also a place that can empower their hobbies or interests in something to make money through the Digital Economy,” said Joseph.

Another offer presented by XL for Indonesian women is in the form of a SIM card equipped with a data quota, specifically for women who play an active role in education. This is in line with the Sisternet program as a Digital Home for Indonesian women.

With such a concept, it is hoped that Sisternet can be a means for women to realize their dreams. For now, the Sisternet activity agenda is still mostly carried out in Jakarta. It will gradually be expanded to cities in other areas.
