After NIDA Rooms and RedDoorz, now it's your turn ZEN Rooms announced the acquisition of series A funding. The funding was obtained from investors Redbadge Pacific and SBI Investment Korea, also participating Asia Pacific Internet Group (APACIG). The value disbursed reached $4,1 million or equivalent to Rp54,4 billion. The funding catapulted the company's equity value to $8 million.

This time, the funding will be focused on expanding the ZEN Rooms network in the Asian region as well as strengthening the innovation of new features that will be launched some time in the future. In addition to several regions in Indonesia, ZEN Rooms is currently operating providing a booking platform budget hotels in Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.

The drum of competition that continues to strengthen

Competition is increasingly visible when the funding time of several players in this sector is very close. NIDA Rooms has just raised $5,6 million in series A funding. Just this week, another competitor RedDoorz has also just announced funding with the same round of $1 million. And in general, the allocation made by each player is the same, namely for expanding service coverage in Asia and improving features.

Several strategies are also patented by each player. By ZEN Rooms for example. In order to acquire customers, especially among millennials in Indonesia, it establishes cooperation special with online marketplace Tokopedia's biggest. This is done considering the potential for this market is very large, the consumptive circle continues to grow. Because previously ZEN Rooms had explained that he wanted to focus on accommodation corporate consumer.
