Pluang Get Series A Funding of 42 Billion Rupiah, Led by Go-Ventures

It used to be called EmasDigi; immediately roll out investment products outside of gold

Pluang (formerly EmasDigi) has just announced the acquisition of series A funding of $3 million or the equivalent of 42 billion Rupiah. Funding led by Go-Ventures, 's venture capital unit unicorn Gojek.

This additional investment will be focused on the company to launch new products. Some of the products that have started to be displayed on the website are foreign exchange investment products, time savings, and stocks.

End of June 2019, GoldDigi decide rebranding thoroughly with brand Pluang. This step follows a change in business strategy, from buying and selling gold into an investment platform.

Pluang is affiliated with PT Celebes Artha Ventura, has been registered and supervised by the OJK, to provide investments outside of gold. Meanwhile Pluang (gold) is affiliated with PT PG Futures which holds a license and is supervised by PT BAPPEBTI (Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency).

"In terms of investment solutions, Indonesians are underserved, and we see a lack of access to financial products that attract people's attention," said Pluang Co-Founder Claudia Kolonas explaining the background of his company's establishment.

Meanwhile, VP Investment Go-Ventures Aditya Kumar explained that his party believes that Pluang can democratize financial services in Indonesia. He was impressed by the team's capability in presenting micro savings products.
