What Does a Good UI/UX Look Like?

In many articles on Dailysocial, we have emphasized the importance of UI and UX as an important part of our consideration of evaluating a startup. And in writing this opinion, I want to try to draw conclusions based on my experience using web-based services.

And many people are wondering, what does a good UI/UX look like? Of course you can start reada number ofarticle from Qonita Shahab at DailySocial about UI and UX for web-based services, but I will try to explain a more simplified way to understand UI and UX of web-based services.

Many think that UI/UX is all about a beautiful display, cool illustrations, beautiful background images, or the right color combination. Maybe these things have an effect, but they are not the most crucial things.

There are 3 things that I think really affect whether a website has a good UI/UX or not. Some of these characteristics are: Subjective, Usable and Consistent.

usable

This is perhaps the most crucial factor in UI/UX, which is whether your app is easy to use. When a visitor enters a website, he will naturally enter and use the visualizations on the website to enter and navigate inside. This process includes the process of introducing and learning about the website, its functions and also the message that is to be conveyed through the website.

Roughly speaking, if ordinary people still have difficulty navigating on your website then your UI/UX is arguably not good. Example Quora or Flickr, a website that is basically plain basic and not much ornamentation, but its users have no difficulty navigating and also using its services. No manual is needed to do this, showing how good the UI and UX are on both sites.

Consistency

Some websites also have consistency problems, and there are two kinds of consistency, namely internal consistency (between components on the website) but also being consistent with applicable international conventions/standards. This consistency also applies to the layout or look and feel of various pages on a website. Although each page has a different function, consistency in terms of look and feel or any component can make users feel comfortable on a website.

An example of a consistent website is the Apple.com website, which has various layouts for the front page, product page, store, features and so on, but remains consistent with the overall look and feel.

subjective

The subjectivity of a good UI/UX is still a matter of debate, but I think it is important to use it as a reference. It is important for a website to understand who its visitors are and their characteristics on the internet. This will determine what the website will look like, the navigation structure, layout and many other website components.

It is debatable whether there is a good UI/UX standard that works for everyone, or whether the system is based on who is using it.

I think the three points above are some things to consider in determining a good UI/UX and not. I'm sure there are several things that can be discussed from this post, I want to hear your opinion through the comments column.
