Seesmic Gets 4 Million Dollar Investment, Aims for Enterprise Users

Seesmic is getting funding With $4 million from Salesforce.com and Softbank Group, Seesmic now has $16 million in total funding, including previous funding from Atomico, Omidyar Network and Wellington Partners.

Seesmic is an application that can be used to monitor various social networks in an application dashboards, while Salesforce is a service enterprise cloud computing.

Prior to this funding process, Seesmic and Salesforce had also collaborated by integrating their service, namely Seesmic - Chatter. Chatter is an application and platform Salesforce's first social collaboration. The integration of these two services allows users to use Seesmic as a management dashboard to monitor the company's internal activities or used for customer service company by connecting Twitter, Facebook and 50 other services available on Seesmic.

This acquisition also makes Seesmic's strategy now more user-directed enterprise, of course providing more services for companies who want to use their services, as Seesmic explains on the official release that the Seesmic service will still be available free of charge to general consumers but will provide special services for business users which will be launched in the near future.

Last weekend Seesmic has also updated the Web version of Seesmic service and launched Seesmic web 1.0, with service updates such as the facility to create scheduled Tweets, autocomplete when typing Twitter username, Klout integration, keyboard shortcuts, the addition of unlimited Facebook accounts, DMs that can be made special columns, facilities drag-drop direct image to column Update, as well as Sees.sc URL shortening facility.
