Rumah.com Parent Company Receives 2,2 Trillion Rupiah Funds

PropertyGuru secures Series D funding from KKR, the funds will be used to strengthen its position in Southeast Asia

The parent company of Rumah.com (Rumah), PropertyGuru managed to secure funding of $145 million or equivalent to 2,2 trillion rupiah. This Series D funding round was obtained from global investment firm KKR. With this investment KKR joins the shareholders of PropertyGuru along with TPG, Emtek and Square Peg Capital. This funding will be used to strengthen PropertyGuru's position in Southeast Asia including the full consolidation of the Batdongsan.com.vn property portal in Vietnam.

Currently in Southeast Asia PropertyGuru has several services that are leading the property market, such as PropertyGuru in Singapore and Malaysia, DDproperty.com in Thailand, Rumah.com in Indonesia and recently joined Batdongsan.com.vn in Vietnam. And with this funding, PropertyGuru will continue to encourage investment in technology and bring useful solutions for home seekers, agents real estate market and developer PropertyGuru.

KKR's investment in PropertyGuru was funded through the KKR Asian Fund III. For PropertyGuru, apart from fully consolidating with Batdongsan and focusing on the Southeast Asian market, they also plan to penetrate new verticals and boost sales in the market.
