Ruangpeduli Launched, Accommodating Social Assistance for Education

Initiated Ruangguru, working with a number of partners such as Kitabisa and Benih Baik

After the Minister of Education and Culture stated that the conditions due to the pandemic had not allowed teaching and learning activities to take place normally, hundreds of thousands of schools were temporarily closed to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Tens of millions of students are now learning from home and approximately four million teachers are teaching remotely. Sadly, various limitations found, thus making the online learning agenda less than optimal.

Seeing these conditions, Ruangguru launched its new innovation named caring room. Through this platform, they want to connect all stakeholder in the world of education such as students, teachers, schools, and others with various parties who have the capacity to help. Ruangguru will focus and carry out all Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities that have been running and will be in the future, in Ruang Peduli.

Co-Founder & CEO Ruangguru Belva Devara revealed, "The current pandemic condition that we are facing has exacerbated various educational challenges. We launched Ruangpeduli because we believe that the education care movement can be made more structured and collaborative. It is hoped that through Ruangpeduli, there will be more individuals and institutions called upon to contribute for Indonesian education."

In this platform, individuals and institutions can apply for educational social programs that need assistance. Several educational programs have been implemented in collaboration with partners, such as teacher training scholarships, student mentoring scholarships, intensive learning for dropout students, and free access to educational content.

"Adaro Foundation has collaborated with Ruangguru recent years. Our vision and mission go hand in hand, namely to improve the quality of education through qualified human resources. We have provided teacher training and scholarships for students and are also targeting the 3T areas in Indonesia," said Adaro Foundation Chairman Okty Dayamanti.

As a platform EdTech, Ruangguru has a network and capacity in the scope of Indonesian education. Ruangguru also partnered with Kitabisa and Benih Baik on fundraising. The whole process will be managed by the team Ruangguru and related partners, the team admits that they do not take commissions or receive funds in any form.
