Republic of IoT 2018 Held Again, Showcases Local Developer Innovation

Republic of IoT 2018 (RIOT) is being held again today (24/11) until tomorrow, featuring various Internet of Things (IoT)-based technological innovations. A total of 30 selected teams with their respective solutions enlivened the exhibition in the event which was held at the 2nd Floor Hall of Senayan City. RIoT is organized by Makestro and Infia Pariwara, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia, supported by XL Business Solutions.

RIoT 2018 vision wants to be an event for makersIoT, communities, and local IoT stakeholders come together to synergize and collaborate to advance the steps of the Internet of Things ecosystem in Indonesia. Republic of IoT has full support from the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia, BEKRAF, XL Axiata, Nodeflux, Global Research Cloud, and u-Blox, as event partners.

"By bringing together industry players and the IoT community with the Indonesian government in the same place, I hope that RIoT 2018 can become a liaison between IoT players and the government so that the IoT industry in Indonesia can advance with fair regulations for all local Internet of Things players," said Andri Yadi, CEO of DycodeX.

A total of 30 teams selected at RIoT 2018 will be judged by a judging team who will choose 3 teams to be crowned champions and favorite teams. In order to provide an interesting and enjoyable experience for visitors who attend, RIoT 2018 provides a series of activities that include:

• Breakout Class, which consists of workshops, hands-on hardware, and un-conference; which is a stage that is open for all visitors to freely talk about the topic of their choice.
• Makerspace, where visitors can get started with IoT and experiment with the potential of IoT with their own hands.

In addition to these activities, RIoT 2018 is also a session stage keynote. This year, the keynote session will be delivered by Kiril Mankovski, Chief Enterprise Officer of PT XL Axiata Tbk; Triawan Munaf, Head of the Indonesian Creative Economy Agency; and Andri Yadi, CEO of DycodeX. RIoT 2018 will also bring speakers from diverse Internet of Things backgrounds, including industry players, startup owners, hobbyists, and the community.
