Razer Fintech Acquires E2Pay to Expand Services in Indonesia

Razer Fintech and E2Pay offer payment gateway technology and e-money platforms

Better known as a developer company hardware, especially for gaming, Razer released a separate entity Razer Fintech to serve the financial segment.

Razer Fintech claims to be one of the leading O2O digital payment networks in Southeast Asia. The company is said to have processed more than billions of dollars for the total value of the payments.

"We have the technology that can bring fraud detection, risk management, and others. make it easy merchant to integrate on only one platform, so there is no need to look for more than one [fintech] partner," said Razer Fintech CEO Lee Li Meng.

To DailySocial, Li Meng revealed, to expand their business in the Indonesian market, Razer Fintech acquired PT E2Pay Global Utama (E2Pay), a B2B2C digital payment facilitator and e-money license holder.

The platform, which has been licensed by Bank Indonesia since 2018, is known as a solution developer payment gateway. Targeting B2B segmentation, E2Pay presents solutions that can be integrated for payment systems of various sources, ranging from internet/mobile banking, credit card, e-money, to virtual accounts.

"The acquisition of E2Pay allows us to accelerate our entry into Indonesia, one of the fastest growing digital economies in Southeast Asia. It can also serve digital payment needs better than merchant our regional and global," Li Meng said.

Through this acquisition, Razer Fintech and E2Pay seek to contribute to Indonesia's GMV which is expected to reach $124 Billion by 2025.

"We hope that the synergy between E2Pay and Razer Fintech will enable both organizations to take advantage of the merchant us to grow, expand and increase the reach of our platform across Southeast Asia," said E2Pay Chairman Rudy Danandjaja.

In addition to the E2Pay payment gateway solution which has been used by many marketplace platforms, they also have an M-Pay solution as an e-money platform. One of M-Pay's most popular partners is Flip bank transfer platform.

After Indonesia, Razer Fintech has plans to acquire new partners in Bangladesh to strengthen the company's position in the region.
