Meet Prospective Student Accommodation, Quipper's Edtech Platform Launches Quipper Campus

Quipper edutech platform launches its newest service Quipper Campus, a one-stop information portal that connects prospective students with state universities (PTN) and private universities in Indonesia.

Quipper sees the current condition of high school students after graduating from school, many of whom dream of being able to continue to higher education levels. But it is difficult to do because there are many things they need to consider, from location, cost, majors, to quality. Often the information needed is not always available, it even poses a challenge for students, PTN, and PTS themselves.

"We believe every student has the right to a quality education. With Quipper Campus, we are expanding our efforts to empower the education ecosystem by utilizing technology. This is part of our commitment to support government programs to ensure Indonesian students can compete at a global level," said Country Quipper Indonesia Manager Takuya Homma in an official statement received DailySocial.

From February to August 2017, Quipper Campus has collected information on 78 PTN and more than 150 selected PTS and higher education academies in Indonesia. Based on the total visits, the portal has been viewed more than 175 thousand times. To enrich the data, Quipper is committed to continuously improving college information so that it can provide more benefits to its users.

According to the Coordinator of Private Universities (Kopertis), the gross enrollment rate (APK) for the age category 19-24 (college level) is still very low, below 30%. The limited information obtained by prospective high school graduates and the equivalent is thought to be one of the things that affects the low GER in this age category.

In addition, there are still many people who think that private universities are of low quality and expensive. In fact, there are several private universities that are actually of higher quality than private universities at an affordable cost. To deal with this problem, the government began to improve the quality of PTS.

Through Quipper Campus, prospective students can get complete information about higher education, including locations, majors, courses, administrative information, fees, and so on. Quipper Campus is designed with an easy-to-understand interface that can be accessed anywhere.
