PopBox Plans After Getting Investment from Salim Group

After the acquisition of an investment from the Salim Group at the end of 2017 for an undisclosed amount, the PopBox smart locker service collaborated with elevenia, which was recently acquired by the Salim Group, presenting the new PopStore feature.

This feature makes it easy for buyers e-mart, elevenia supermarket service at wholesale prices, get the goods on the same day (same-day delivery). Process fulfilment handled PopStore.

To DailySocial, PopBox co-founder Greta Bunawan said that this collaboration was the first time that oPopStore launched with the elevenia e-commerce service.

"PopStore is a form of collaboration with elevenia to run fulfilment of FMCG products at wholesale prices packaged in the E-MART feature. The point is that we help manage E-MART by providing the goods, pick & pack and deliver the goods to the buyers."

Still available in Jadetabek, this service is claimed to be able to solve shipping and packaging problems to make it easier and faster for all merchants in elevenia. Asked whether elevenia will launch cooperation with e-commerce services or other companies, Greta said, the opportunity is still open.

"PopStore services are currently still limited in Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi, but in the future we have plans to expand the coverage area," said Greta.

PopBox plans in 2018

Currently PopBox has spread to 350 points in two countries, namely Malaysia and Indonesia. Apart from Jakarta, PopBox smart lockers are also available in Bandung, Surabaya, Semarang, Jogjakarta, Bali, Medan and Palembang.

In addition to functioning as a place for storing and picking up goods, PopBox smart lockers can now also be used as credit purchases, purchases of various products using payment methods e-wallet and NFC (near field communication).

Another plan that will be launched by PopBox is PopExpress, a courier-based logistics service that can deliver goods to addresses or smart counters.

"Our target in 2018 is to continue to develop the point network smart locker PopBox as a delivery and pick-up option, as well as expanding other PopBox partners," said Greta.
