PlayGame.com Wants to Revolutionize the Game Industry with Blockchain

PlayGame.com previously is a platform used by Anton Soeharyo (Co-Founder of Touchten) to publish games that can be played online live. Now the platform has evolved into a new unit. Still in the gaming world, this time Anton (CEO of PlayGame.com) together with Aria Rajasa (CIO of PlayGame.com & Founder Tees), and Batista Harahap (CTO of PlayGame.com & Co-Founder of Prism) presented a much more revolutionary concept.

Utilizing blockchain technology, PlayGame.com trying to solve a long-standing problem that game developers and publishers often experience. PlayGame.com will be a platform for distributing games (direct-to-play gaming platforms) and become a fundraising venue (crowdfunding) matters relating to game development. The concept combines the virtual economy with the conventional economy using cryptocurrency.

The released Software Development Kit (SDK) allows game developers or publishers to implement their own token-based business in the developed games. Its implementation can be elaborated with various features, for example for user loyalty rewards. Token-based business is implemented for three areas: (1) pool-price game competition, (2) crowdfunding platforms, and (3) ad network & retention.

"We want to provide a complete ecosystem for game developers, including distribution channels through the PlayGame.com site, an SDK for monetization with our tokens, and a platform for through crowdfunding which we call FunFund," the PlayGame.com team wrote in the publication.

PlayGame.com also became the first Launchpad Project Tokenomy. Tokenomy is a global token platform for various project-based blockchain Founded by INDODAX Founder Oscar Darmawan.

PlayGame Tokens

PlayGame Token (PXG) is an ERC20 token with platform smart contract which allows publishers, developers and the game community to monetize their products directly from users cryptocurrency around the world. There will be one billion tokens created and distributed. PXG leverages Ethereum, due to the flexibility and adoption rate that the blockchain system has. Blockchain will act as database multi game and store all game scores safely.

In addition, blockchain is expected to make players believe that the games placed on the PlayGame.com platform will be fair. Game developers will also have a guarantee of transparent payments. Proprietary data is stored securely on the blockchain, with smart contract to ensure there is no manipulation or fraud. Moment pre-sale, 18.000 PXG is rewarded with 1 Ethereum.

The ICO (Initial Coin Offering) process itself will start soon in the third quarter of this year. Followed by the launch of the demo website and SDK in the fourth quarter. The business process itself is planned to start in January 2019, with a global launch target in the third quarter of 2019, including expansion to Japan and China. Initially, PlayGame.com will be based in Singapore.

Meanwhile, investors listed as having joined the initiative include Ideosource and Digital Nusantara Capital (DNC).
