"However online giving platform sebagai sociotech still far behind in terms of quantity and development compared to fintech and of course online marketplace, said Ratna.

In particular, Bantoo.id combines goods and money donations. Unlike other similar platforms, Bantoo.id is not just through crowdfunding platform, but is crowdgiving. In the future there are several vertical products and more services to be developed.

They also try not to sell sadness, either through cause campaign, story content campaigns, as well as photos. The company prioritizes enthusiasm, struggle, good inspiration and positive news. Bantoo.id also implements 5 stages of verification for every campaign it runs.

"Bantoo.id can be accessed by users throughout Indonesia. For fundraisers themselves, they are spread almost throughout Indonesia with causes various collections. Growth unique visitors we are quite good with conversion rate to donate which is quite high. We started from zero, and are currently at 200 thousand visitor per month," said Ratna.

Monetization strategy launched on the platform through crowdfunding is 5% platform fee from the collected donations and because of the crowdgiving, monetization increases with a margin percentage of donated items sold on Bantoo.id. Campigner and partners are quite diverse.

Supervised by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Kominfo

Currently Bantoo.id is supervised by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Kominfo. Asked whether Bantoo.id will transform into more than just a donation platform, they emphasized that for now and in the future it will continue to be a platform crowdgiving in Indonesia.

The unique method that was then launched by them was to offer a choice of donations not only for money, but also for goods, zakat, and for knowledge. Thus giving more people the choice to donate with a wider range of options.

"Currently, most of the donations are fund donations. However, by offering options such as #bagiBarang, it can bridge them individually to companies that want to launch CSR activities using selected services from Bantoo.id," said Ratna.

One of the triggers for the growth of the Bantoo.id donation service is during the pandemic. The pandemic directly has a positive impact, a lot social causes who need help and can be helped. Negatively, although not very significant is the decrease in the value of donations (basketball size) per user.

Even though it is only 1 year old, Bantoo.id has several plans to launch. This year Bantoo.id focuses on strengthening and development internal system, automated verification & automated withdrawal system.

"That's why we selectively chose campaign new. Going forward this year we will add 1-2 vertical products/services to strengthen Bantoo.id as a Point of Charity (POC)," said Ratna.

Asked whether Bantoo.id has plans to raise funds, Ratna emphasized that there are no plans to raise funds so far. However, the company does not rule out the possibility if there are investors who intend to provide fresh funds to the company.

"We are currently not focused on finding investors, but we are very open to discussing with all who see sociotech and development fintech is something good in Indonesia," concluded Ratna.
